Off to Denver!

I'm going on a little belated honeymoon this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing Denver for the first time, as well as some friends. It's not exactly the week in Hawaii we had planned for our honeymoon, but lots of people don't get a honeymoon at all, so I feel pretty lucky.

We're staying at a bizarre new hotel called The Curtis that has themed floors. I was thinking "themes" in the way that the Madonna Inn does themes, but apparently it's a pop culture themed hotel. And the rooms seem to be left normal, but each floor is decorated in kooky ways. No pictures are available online, just a list of themes, but favorite themes so far? "Big Hair" "Sci Fi" "TV" and "Pedal to the Metal." Also of interest, they have a 13th floor. Not in the way that every other building has a 13th floor (in that they call it 14th floor, but everyone on that floor must know they live on the 13th floor). I'm excited! I will be back on Sunday.
