On my days off, sometimes I become a 1950s housewife. I usually do some writing, prep for classes, and check e-mails, the usual. But other than that, I love:
Stocking the Fridge and making the house super clean (my addiction/mental problem)
A space is left in the bottom left corner for a 12 pack of 7ups.
Listening to comedy while cleaning is also important. Today's comedy MP3: Patton Oswalt,
Feelin' Kinda PattonWatching an episode of Golden Girls while I drink my morning coffee
I hate when I get to my coffee too late and I have to watch
Frasier or
Will & Grace. Good shows, but not
GG. A bad omen for the morning.
Getting some time to read at least part of a book I'm currently addicted to
Some of the funniest writing. Jill Soloway was a writer for Six Feet Under. Sometimes I think we share a brain. I only reread a couple of chapters today. Still funny!
Going shopping. Most often to the bookstore, Target, or Bed, Bath, & Beyond
I got this spiffy li'l air freshener today.

This Calphalon omelette pan was on sale. Plus I got to use my Bed Bath & Beyond coupon. For Calphalon! Do I sound sad? Is this sad? Because I don't care, I am totally happy (cheap) about it.
Doing something crafty/arty
Making a nice dinner (which means M. does the dishes!)
Roasted vegetables, mac & cheese made from whole wheat pasta, and fresh New York steaks au poivre from Whole Foods Long Beach, which has the best meat counter. This, by the way, is the serving plate and not my personal dinner plate. I think this was the best steak I've ever made.
I'm a martini and a tranquilizer away from cartoony-ness.
After yesterday's headache of doom, this was a nice day...
