The Eyes Have It

So this is what the world looks like to me without glasses:

Which is why I had to come home early today (at about the halfway mark). One side sees fine, the other sees blurry. I spend all day squinting. Well, not all day, just when I have to read. Which is pretty much what I'm doing as a job, reading lecture notes, rosters, emails. So annoying. I feel that I must look like the sea captain on The Simpsons. I got a monster headache, which is a bummer because I actually was really into the lecture/screening/discussions for today. Such is life. After some sleep in the dark, I am feeling much better.

Tomorrow I get my new prescription for the left lens of my glasses. Hopefully that will make things better.

Oh, and the reviews are in: I heart True Blood. Great cast, great sets, and the intro to the show is so amazing. Alan Ball has a way with intros though, I loved the one for Six Feet Under. Wasn't too into the Tara character or the way they make the fangs look, but other than that I'm hooked. And I know how it's going to turn out from reading the books so that's saying something. Let's just put it this way, I already have a True Blood screensaver. Hi my name is Nerd, have we met?
